"Day Of" Timeline
When planning out your big day, it is important to have it all in writing. Do not let any member of your wedding party or vendor convince you that they will remember what they have to do, or when they have to do it. It may seem tedious to write down hour by hour or even minute by minute instructions for yourself and those around you, but it will be well worth it. There are always going to be some sort of unforeseen circumstances that you need to deal with, but if you have an outline in place, after you fix the situation, you can get right back on track.
When writing a timeline, remember that no activity is too small to keep track of. Yes, writing down the start of the ceremony, when vendors should be arriving, and what time the cake comes out is important, but there is so much more. Make sure you cover all of your bases. If you think you may forget something write it down! This timeline is not just for you to follow, but for your vendors, bridesmaid, groomsmen, and the groom! Go over the timeline with your planner, your bridesmaids and anyone else who will look at it. Making multiple drafts will help you to make sure that everything is included and it will reassure you that you have thoroughly thought this through. It is also very important to make sure you budget yourself more than enough time for everything. If you think it will take your bridesmaids 1 hours to get their hair down, give them at least a half hour time pillow just in case things do not go as expected.
Here is a list of just a few things you should include on your timeline:
*What time you will eat lunch
*When you take your wedding photos
*The minute you walk down the aisle
*How long you will allow for your reception line
*What time the florist will arrive
